If you only have a thousand dollars, you should just buy a beat E36... learn to drive and it’ll drift you harder than any old AE86. Change your belts and fix your leaks, you’ll still end up with something that is never cheap...

But find me another way to get 6 cylinders, a manual, and an LSD for $1000. Can’t be done.

With 266,000 miles, the damn thing actually drives pretty well. Far from perfect, but I’ve been driving it for the last couple days and it could suit my needs. The hole in the muffler makes it sound pretty good too. Not as old a car as I would otherwise like, but it sort of fell in my lap so I might have found me a daily beater.

Of course that’s what I want, ultimately. I think I’ll just need to jump right into a Galaxie or Talledega when the time is right. It’d be a horribly inefficient daily, but I need one or the other in my life.
